Andy, I spent 10 yrs working in there, I was only 25 and worked till I was 35. I also worked in office in the week, perhaps your mum would remember me, I used to take my young son as well now and again. I certainly got used to who wasn't all the ticket, sitting with no knickers, or screaming and shouting. Or the young lady who followed me home, who thought the teddy bear behind the counter was talking to her. So yes Andy, I could tell the difference, some poor children visiting their parent with no eye, or a young man covered in bandages, who spilt hot coffee all down himself, who I had to get help for. Or a man who on my way home, had wheeled himself into the road, because he didn't want to have his leg off. His wife thanked me for taking him back into limb fitting. So when ever your mum was their Andy, I'm sure I could tell the difference and I hope your mum was treated well on the ward she was on.
