Lol, Bill. Or were they hipster type parking attendants? If so, they are from North London.

Did they have cloth caps and whippets?

Hi Barbara, yes I saw the traffic warden today. I am sure you are right, but I hardly ever venture into North London, so that could be up North as far as I am concerned!
Martine, it was the regular warden I spoke to, the small man with glasses. He meant up North because he said somewhere like stafford. I can't remember he was talking for a while, while giving a ticket.

Reading the article, this seems to be affecting wardens in SW London only, so when they use staff from up North, maybe they mean North London !? Lol.
They seemed to be patrolling Putney Bridge Road in pairs this afternoon, no idea what part of the UK they were from ...

"But he heard they had wardens from up North come down here to do their job and put them in Hotels and paid travel expenses."Oh lovely, set up strike-breakers from another region of the country. Ah the "good old days"!

Spoke to one of the wardens yesterday in my road. He said he was on holiday when they were on strike. But he heard they had wardens from up North come down here to do their job and put them in Hotels and paid travel expenses.
Let's all hope they stay on strike!
