Richard,For argument's sake, I have just looked up the meaning of accident in the Oxford dictionary, which says:"an unfortunate incident that happens unexpectedly and unintentionally, typically resulting in damage or injury."As you brought the subject up, what I was trying to say in my previous message is that most road incidents happen by accident while deaths by stabbing are premeditated. Personally, I see an enormous difference.I think you are anti-motorists (not anti-car as you repeatedly say so) as strongly as I am against reckless cyclists as well as inconsiderate and rude Lime and Forest bike riders. But one point I would like to make is that many cyclists appear to have no idea of the Highway Code, or, if they do, they disregard it completely when they are cycling - should I say racing. But I always maintain, and vehemently maintain, we are all solely responsible for our safety on the roads. The fact that a car is racing in a 20mph road enfuriates me no end. But I would not step in front of the car by any stretch of the imagination!
