Glass can shatter under stress or because of tiny air bubbles in the glass. When it happens it’s explosive. It happens with glass windows in shops from time to time. Flexing of the bodywork can do the same. Are you suggesting this is a cover-up?

It was a mechanical fault that stopped the taxi, so they now say. Not a gun shot.

Just heard on the News Ian Hislop was in the cab, the bullet broke the window, but the Taxi driver and Ian Hislop were both OK.
