It now takes between 30 and 45 minutes to travel from the 22 stop at Commondale to the Bridge, and often longer. Buses are disrupted both ways and the closure of stops, including Putney Pier and the ones at the other end coming the other way, make it difficult to catch a 22, 265 or 378 coming back. Annoyingly while waiting outside the station today to catch a bus (85, 265, 93) as both my wife and I are currently restricted in how far we can walk, I watched a 378 sweep past without stopping to pick up passengers. There is no 378 stop at the station, and the 265 seldom pauses long enough to collect anyone exiting the tube station. Is it my imagination or do they rush past the entrance just as a tube full of people is decanting?
Finally — and I promise this is the end of my rant — they have daubed some white paint partially across the steep mounds of tarmac ramps at the “new” crossing points. They are slippery when raining. There was a grand total of two workers shovelling debris into a truck in mid-afternoon. That’s all.
TFL and Wandsworth Council should be ashamed.
