Mr Carter'Like the silly meme that "Starmer doesn't know what a woman is," it's one of those things that, if it gets repeated enough times, someone, somewhere might even believe it'.This is what Starmer said -"Sir Keir also said 99.9% of women "of course haven't got a penis" as he was asked about his stance on whether a person with a penis can be a woman.He added that there is a "very small number" of people who identify as a different gender to the one they were born with as he called for an end to a "toxic divide" over trans issues". - from Sky News (owned by that right wing fascist Aussie Rupert Murdoch).Obviously Starmer does not understand the difference between sex and gender if he thinks 0.1% of women (which probably equates to c. 30,000) do have a penis.For in that case are they by definition 'women' ?As regards gender - 'a description considered with reference to social and cultural differences rather than biological ones. The term is also used more broadly to denote a range of identities that do not correspond to established ideas of male and female'.Obviously people can choose and decide what they think their gender is but not their sex which is biologically determined.The problem we face is that some are insistent that their self-chosen gender gives them the right to space and privileges that are often legally given based upon a person's sex.
