Old scam nearly got me

Yesterday I was fooled by an email apparently from a friend's email address.A first friendly bland message with an enquiry about whether I buy things on E-bay, to which I respond, and then I receive this:-"I need to get an Apple E-gift card for my niece. It’s her birthday today. I tried purchasing it myself, but my card declined. Could you get it on eBay and have it sent to her email address?"And then I remembered it. (Also I noticed that it was still supposed to be from my friend but their email address had changed).So, it is still around. It can work.And Hey!... let's be careful out there.

Maxine, I think you will see, she is annoying a few more people than me if you read the posts. Philippa lives in the Ealing Area and not Putney and argues on every other site Acton, Ealing, etc

The really irritating thing is that an awful lot of people do need to double or triple glaze their windows and insulate their lofts in our 'leakiest homes in Europe'. You have to be so very careful that you get someone or a company that is legit if you do have a roof to insulate - and you're so very lucky you don't have the decision to make if you don't have one!

Yes, I got a call from a pleasant sounding man to say his records showed that I was entitled to cut-price loft insulation. I said, "That's interesting because I haven't got a loft." He hung up.

Yes also the roof insulation is still ringing people, got one the other day from them. Just pretended I had a problem with my phone and couldn't hear them.
