Lovely to see it!!I just wish there were more bees about.Yesterday we saw the first butterfly in our garden this year....  Thank you Michael for the uplifting photograph!

The insect loss is worrying for all sorts of reasons - I read that they'e finding severely malnourished bats and even some who've died of starvation.  I keep thinking that surely some insects could be bred in labs and released - but I suppose if they could they would.

Judy, I think there's fewer insects in general: not very many butterflies - or flies - around. Good to see!  There are certainly fewer bees around this summer than last.
