MORE SCAM

Just received the most professional phone scam I have ever encountered - claiming to be Visa and warning me £1000 had been filched from my card. Switched to an "adviser" who wanted to "confirm" my card number. The only answer is to hang up, but it was extremely persuasive. Later Visa told all was OK.

I also had a phone call telling me there were 2 transactions on my account for vast amounts, I hung up and rang my bank only to find there was a transaction for festival ticket's( I am a pensioner) and another one which had not been taken then but I knew nothing about. but was told the call was a scam, so had to wait for a new card again but lucky I rang in

However much you believe and tell yourself that they are scams and they most probably are - it is still very unsettling not knowing for sure...
