What is Ed Davey doing?

With many people undecided ,still,in this election what on earth is the leader of the Lib Dems doing?Does he really believe that falling off a paddle board  doing aqua aerobics or bungee jumping are a way of getting his message across? Having watched his antics I couldnt tell you what his policies are but if they ever do a remake of some mothers do ave em then Ed's your man.

Ms Bond'There have also been more in-depth articles/interviews that Ed Davey has done mostly around social care.  He has had plenty of personal experience of the difficulties surrounding this'.Am I the only one that finds MPs telling us of all their and their family's personal problems a tad icky ?"Suck it up Ed like the rest of us do - without the comfort of a c.£80+K salary plus extras like the £78K he earned in 2021 as an advisor to a law firm 'to benefit my disabled son'".But I suppose he has to tell us this and perform stunts because no one knows what the LibDems stand for.Though Mr Rose gave a perfect description as to why people vote for them."Your policies not your personalities please MPs".

Right based on the responses here if he ever ( god forbid) achieves high office again he has to do a bungee jump to get people to listen  to him.I'm surely not the only one who sees his stunts and switches off before any message is delivered.

I believe he was new into the job then and there are too many changes in a lot of parliamentary jobs.  Jo Swinson I believe had that job before him as I saw her talking about it and she maintained that she had asked questions at a parliamentary enquiry/committee and had been lied to.

Davey was not caring of the sub Post Masters plight.  I suspect he is mightily relieved that the election is before he is questioned by the barrister the public enquiry.I do agree the whole social care needs addressing.  However family medics claim he is an accident waiting to happen.

He’s using silly stunts to get attention when he make can the serious points no one would listen to otherwise. It’s easy to mock him but he’s not taking himself too seriously which makes a refreshing change. The key LibDem policy is on funding for social care. He knows more about caring for others than nearly all of us. I hope he can pressure the next government into finally addressing the social care problems in this country. Of course it’s needs money, a lot of it, but as he and his colleagues never fail to point out there are savings to be made by freeing up hospital beds. So give the guy a chance. Silly stunts but generating serious attention to very serious issues.
