Putney Bridge tube station

Does anyone else agree this station urgently needs a refurb? It seems to have been in poor condition for such a long time. It reflects badly on our local community and creates a poor impression of the UK for the many visits passing through. How can we have something done about this? Any ideas if you agree it's necessary?

Totally agree Katrina. I avoid using it as it feels dangerous to use the stairs there. Easy Putney is only marginally better.Let's hope that our new MP is able to make things safer in our two local tube stations. Justine Greening at least got things moving at Southfields.

Someone suggested Fleur should be contacted. Just pointing out she's currently only a candidate so can't do anything unless reelected :-)

Putney Station is owned by National Rail and operated by South West Rail. I would guess repairs to the station's fabric would be NR's responsibility but could be split with SWR if it's fittings and fixtures that need maintenance - yes, I'm sure Fleur will help; just make sure you vote for her next Thursday! I believe Putney Bridge station is in Fulham, so outside of her remit, but I think that is owned and operated by TfL.

I agree that Putney Bridge tube station is in desperate need of TLC.

I am in complete agreement. Both myself and two friends from outside of London noticed the poor state of Putney tube station when we were leaving the station yesterday - the walls peeling on the stairs and the passageway, in need of resurfacing as well as damp prevention treatment. In fact, general refurbishment of the Tube Station is required throughout. There is a similar problem with Putney Railway Station where the fabric of the main building is also deteriorating badly even though millions of pounds was spent upgrading the Station some years ago.  I would suggest that anyone who is concerned about the deterioration of Putney tube station/Putney Railway Station writes with their concerns to our MP Fleur Anderson: Fleur MP
