Trooping the Colour
Anyone else watch this splendid and rather moving occasion on Saturday ?In my view a ceremony that helps define what it is to be British and reminds us of the part that the military has and does play in protecting our way of life.Because remember those participating wear khaki when carrying out their 'day job'.Most expertly organised, choreographed and executed. What also struck me was that how the Army by delivering such a ceremonial event, helps maintain a fine British tradition of horse breeding and musical skills. Not sure if the regular protest (protesting about what ?) march for a foreign country, namely Palestine, took place at the same time with amongst its participants, the usual anti-semitic, anti-Israel, pro-Arab Islamist and even pro-Hamas contingents. If it did glad our British event stood out and took pride of place.
