Labour are distributing leaflets for Derby North Candidate

My neighbours and I have just received leaflets asking us to vote for Labour candidate Catherine Atkinson in Derby North.No literature relating to Putney included.

Patricia I’m really sorry that you received this election letter about the Derby North candidate instead of me. She is next to me alphabetically and a small batch were printed in error. The printing house has told me that they made this error for you and a small number of your neighbours. I think it’s probably an attempt by Labour to pretend they care about anywhere outside of London, but someone must have thought it was a mistake and so they re-directed it to Putney.

I'm not sure about Derby North but the leaflet has to be better than the Labour "Final Demand" envelope leaflets they distributed last time.What idiots thought it be a good idea sending people what looks like a threatening demand for payment?

I think that's the most likely reason, John. Plain old human error by a supplier :-)

Last time something like this happened it was a mistake on the part of the third party company that had been used to do the mailshot. They loaded the machine with the wrong batch of leaflets and the machine duly stuffed the envelopes.

The top line reads SW15 Putney followed by a numeric code, then our names and address and full postcode!The last notice on the address pane states Putney-FP1.

Ours came by post and were for Fleur. Sounds like a centralised posting error - I wonder if there's a road in Derby with the same name and they're wondering whe Fleur Anderson is ... or if it's processed by a commercial agency if it's sabotage by someone ...
