Putney High Street temporary lights

Did the pavements ever get cleaned? - or was the royal visit cancelled?

Shame they don't widen the roads again, so Emergency vehicles can get past, instead of road users having to drive part on the pavement and pull over for for emergency vehicles.

The lights are in place for works to improve the Putney High Street / Putney Bridge Road junction. The second phase will be work to improve the Putney High Street / Lower Richmond Road junction.  So expect more disruption in the summer.The delay after the pavement works is because any alternations to these junctions/lights require the agreement from TfL. The Council have been working on finding an TfL acceptable scheme for some time.

I seem to remember people joking about councils holes for no reason.Perhaps I'm getting old but it seems just a short while ago that they did the pavements.
