A few quotes from the article:“We’ve been listening to residents…”“As a council, we love working with our community….”“We will continue to be a listening council…”“…always looking to work with local people..”“The council has listened to feedback from local residents….”Hopefully, this also applies to the hundreds of people who have signed petitions, made representations to the council, contacted their local councillors and MP, submitted feedback to council consultants, etc. etc. etc. for more than a year and a half, objecting to the destructive proposals being imposed on their communities against their will and on the back of a complete sham of a consultation exercise. The same people who have posted hundreds of detailed objections to the planning applications in Ashburton, Whitnell Way and Toland Sq.As far as I understand it, the council have been in ‘listening mode’ forever, any chance they might actually hear what the residents are saying?
