I've had at least a call a day from either somebody who cuts off when you answer, but be careful. Yesterday I received a call from a John, started going on about Loft installation, non stop have you got this have you got that in your roof. I asked him his surname no answer, asked him what company he was from no answer. Where was he based no answer. Still he was making out I'm stupid and perhaps I don't know what is in my roof. So I replied I don't have a roof. Goodbye. So if you get a call about loft insulation be careful, as though he is going to do you a favour. Looked up the number says a scam.

You can bloke them, but they will probably try on another number. You dial 1572. But this depends on your Landline provider.

Are any of you registered with the Telephone Preference Service (TPS)? If not, it's worth doing; if you are it's worth complaining to the information commissioner. Maxine, Ha Ha, if we all say we don't have a loft they might give up. But then they will probably try something else.

Ha, Ha, Good for you Judy, how would his records show what was in your roof, but tried to make out I was stupid reeling off all I might have in my loft and I suppose you don't know. You can block these numbers by dialing 1572, but not sure if you have to contact your landline supplier. I'm with BT.

I think I had the same thing.  He said his records showed I was entitled to new insulation in my loft.  I said that was very interesting, especially as I don't have a loft.  He hung up on me, which always feels llke a win.
