Annie Nightingale RIP

I am really saddened to hear Annie Nightingale has passed away, age 83.  She was a role model, as far I was concerned.  From her days on Petticoat magazine to being the first female DJ on Radio 1.  She promoted so many new groups coming through towards the end of the 1970’s, the Police, U2, and Ian Drury and the Blockheads, amongst others.  She will be missed.
