“Ride to Bring Them Home Now”.

Chris Froome, will be among hopefully tens of thousands of people expected to take part in a mass solidarity bike ride around the world to mark the 100th day since 7th October.  Chris will be riding in London with a yellow ribbon tied to his handle bars under the banner “Ride to Bring Them Home Now”. He says he can’t stand idly by and that the suffering of the hostages deeply affects him. Thank you Chris!And for those interested, a vigil for the hostages will take place at Trafalgar Square on Sunday at 2.30. It will mark 100 days since they were taken by Hamas terrorists.

Well said Lucille and thank you for the information on the bike ride.  The reason many of us love living in London is that it is truly an international city with different cultures but the current language and intolerance is shameful.  Hatred is spreading as people don’t want to call it out.

The one I got caught up in must have been a different one. The non Jewish friends I was with found it most intimidating. I'd really like to know what would have been the appropriate measure against being invaded by terrorists who kill 1600 citizens, rape and mutilate young women and children and kidnap still more. The remaining hostages have been held just under 100 days with no visits from the Red Cross. Surely that is against the Geneva Convention? Hamas committed war crimes and yet it is Israel being held to account by South Africa a country where white people have to live in gated communities. I've stayed in my cousin's home in Cape Town where danger is an everyday experience.  Why are people no longer marching in support of Ukraine, still being bombarded by Russia?I could go on but I am sick and tired of trying to explain. Death haunts everyone in Israel and the Palestinian territories and yet as a Jew I would feel safer in Israel now than I do in the UK. Anti Jew hatred is spreading faster than you can imagine, mainly thanks to social media.

Lucille, I meant the pro-Palestinian ones, and I've been on a couple and didn't see any sign of hatred, only concern for the people affected by the Israeli bombing/shelling.
