430 bus

Front page, reduction on how many 430 buses to run per hour, but by the picture on the front page couldn't understand why the bus in the picture was the year 53 and now is 73. The bus is 20 years  old I thought they were being updated. Especially as certain people moaning about fumes and the ULEZ.

Ha, Ha, Ed, I know, I worked at Peugeot 10 yrs and used to register the new vehicles and tax them. I remember when they did the change over and vehicles could then be taxed twice a year, March and Sept. That's why I wondered why there are still so many old vans still driving about, must be costing them a bomb in the ULEZ.

Yes you are right Barbara - it's an old bus.According to https://www.check-mot.service.gov.uk/results?registration=lx53+bfkIt was first register in 31 December 0001 :)

Ed, just looked again what have they corrected. It's still the old bus. I was looking at the Registration.

It looks like they have corrected it now.Although I'm not sure why the buses are by the river!Expect to see more services cut back in outer London while inner London services are protected.Of course it has no relation to the Mayor's voter base??
