Yes, I saw that earlier. On one level I'm not surprised given the underinvestment in IT by the current government but it seems to contravene the government's own recommendations and initiatives for cyber security! An interesting question, if HMRC were regulated by the FCA would they be sanctioned - or even shut down - for inadequate protection of customers' assets ...
