Help protect the bees, please!

I've signed too.  There is also another petition around re glyphosate.  Glyphosate is at present being reconsidered by the EU and whereas in the past it was approved for a long time more recently it has only been approved for a short time as there have been many court cases and I believe still more pending.  As we well know the effects of a lot of chemicals and/or mixes of them do not become obvious until many years later.  There have been changes in some rules in other countries and in formulations and more info about safe or rather SAFER use but even so why use something questionable when there are safer alternatives - especially when it is for removing something that just takes a bit more effort in your garden (and do be truthful about that)!  Lots of people don't use any of it!There are always new scientific papers being produced but they are not always reported on as much as they should be.https://stateofnature.org.uk/infographics/

Thanks for bringing this to my attention: of course I have signed, and I hope many others do to. It’s as baffling as it is depressing why any decision maker would approve pesticides that have so recently been banned by our neighbours for excellent reasons!
