Bit early in the morning

Really can't believe what is happening to the World. It's non stop, all we hear is bad News.  This isn't to do with Climate Change, this is madness. It proves we do not know who we are letting into our Country. They have no thought for peoples lives.  As for the News on Luton Airport Car Park on Fire. I bet this could have been avoided if people stopped buying EV's. I've also seen pictures of New Malden ULEZ Camera's been cut down. Doesn't the Mayor etc realize all these restrictions people are retaliating.

Yes, but no details on what he's been arrested for.I can guess, but speculation doesn't help anyone and could be libellous.We'll just have to wait for the proper details/report to come out.

It said at the time it was possibly an electrical fault. Diesel doesn't catch fire and easy as petrol

I agree John.It is surprising that over the years so many petrol and diesel cars have parked there and there has been no problem.It is a matter of (extreme?) bad luck, I know....  What I meant by learning more from the fire brigade and police as to the cause of the fire of the diesel car is not an awkward question, it is a matter of curiosity....

Car batteries can provide huge amounts of current which means sparks, and sparks start fires.A fuel leak (onto a hot engine, or hot brakes) will quickly start a fire, so rotten/split fuel lines or faulty connectors are also common causes.Even adjusting for vehicle numbers; fires are more common in petrol/diesel vehicles than in EVs, it's just a fire in an EV is a more newsworthy event at the moment.

Hand in heart, I must admit that an EV came to mind!!Or at least, a battery from an electric vehicle.....  While I understand that the Firefighters and police indicated that the fire at Luton Airport started in a diesel vehicle, I wish I could understand how or why this has happened.

Thank you for posting this, Lisa: the link says that local firefighters and police have made it clear that the fire at Luton Airport started in a diesel vehicle and not an electric car.It's good to have proper fact checking to counter false rumours foolishly posted by the unwary and/or careless.

Well Andy, I have read they only think Diesel as petrol would be a lot easier to ignite. Also could have been an electrical fault.

Fire investigator confirmed on news it was a diesel vehicle that started it.

CCTV data should be stored securely in a datacentre along with the software that manages the cameras and their data. It's more likely that cameras might be faulty or - like ULEZ ones - have been damaged by criminals.

John I will not answer you anymore as you really only want an arguement.  That's why I put a different paragraph, for the Luton Car Park. Lets hope as you say the CCTV footage wasn't destroyed in the Fire.  If you are happy about illegals would you want them with you. Already been a stabbing in Surbiton where they were staying in a  Hotel. Keep defending everything and I am sure in your world it will be a better place. But don't expect everybody else to think the same.
