Just saved a pigeon from the clutches of the little pussy cat outside Sainsbury's. I wondered why there was a noise by the bikes and people looking on the ground. I got the cat gently from behind and held it and luckily the pigeon escaped and flew away.

Shouldn't think it's there all the time when it's bored I expect and fancies a wander.  As for the Staff perhaps it's you because I find all the staff friendly in the store. There just told what to do and there is a lovely new Manager with glasses who is cheerful when you speak to him. He also serves you on the till, the only grumpy one is Garry who has been there years, but most people know he isn't very bright and moans about everything.

Yes, I find the cat rather more friendly and welcoming than most of the staff in the store! Is he there all day, every day?

We put bells on our cats but they seemed to find ways to remove them.

Ed, the cat did have a collar, it's the cat that always sits outside Sainsbury's, but nobody else was doing anything. The cat was heavy and strong so obviously well fed at home. It didn't seem upset, it then walked around a ladies legs meowing.Very friendly.

Well done Barbara, I suspect it was the hunting instinct and not hunger - so no harm to the cat and the pigeon may be more cautious or perhaps a more challenging prey next time.There was a case for putting bells on cats but that seems to have died.
