No water in Putney and the whole of West London!

"We’re really sorry if you have low pressure or no water. It’s been caused by a power supply problem which has affected our Ashford and Hampton water treatment works in west London." Schools are having to close apparently.

You could use Queensmere for Wimbledon (I don't know for how long), and the Graveney for Streatham?

Does anybody see the Fire Brigade inspecting the Hydrants, they are meant to be inspected from March to October.

It'd be a bloody long hose from the thames to wimbledon village, and I expect much longer in other places. Wandsworth to streatham vale maybe

Ha, ha, sewage would probably block up their hose, doesn't bare thinking about. Or low tide.

"Reports a few days ago with the fire brigade being impacted by low water pressure."In the London Blitz the Fire Service would take their hose and pumps down to the Thames, if the mains were smashed by the bombing. Still, probably more difficult now if rivers have a lot of sewage in them.

Yes Rose, we had the same, appears loads of areas around London. Perhaps it's where people are cutting the ULEZ cameras somebody has cut the wrong wire. Ha Ha.

Thank you for this, Rose: although we have water, the pressure seemed low and it's good to know it wasn't just my imagination. And I've no idea what an aerator is for either

Thanks. If only I had looked on Forum earlier. I've had an hour of swearing and bemoaning my lot. I never thought that it was a Thames Water fault because I had a very similar and inexplicable problem with the upstairs cold water taps 5 days ago, which then inexplicably healed itself. So I assumed that maybe the problem had just migrated. Oh well, at least I have cleaned out the aerator on the kitchen tap now. (I don't know what that is for, but there it is).
