Yes, David, he doesn't seem to be a serious terrorist threat, or in the James Bond league of spies or enemy of the people. Looking at his background - or what's available on Google - he seems to be perhaps a lone, aimless person but harmless, and seemed to be settled in the army initially but something seems to have unsettled him over the last year/18 months. Difficult to tell at a distance but either he was a real danger and should have been in a more secure unit or he wasn't really a threat, just an annoyance and now he's really embarrassed the prison service and government with a pretty basic escape … And, yes, Ed, I'm sure the UK and US governments consider Mr Assange a bigger threat because of the information he's exposed that's a lot more embarrassing than Mr Khalife's antics.
