Have you had student lodgers in Putney?
My wife and I over 20+ years ago had a series of student lodgers. They came from the French Lycee in Kensington and lived with us during term-time. It helped with the family finances and even with teaching French to my two children. They soon became part of the family, and many remain friends spread throughout Europe and we remain in contact today. It was a terrific success with only one isolated case of a student who didn’t fit in. Does this still happen in post-Brexit Britain? What are your experiences with lodgers?
My wife, writing as A.M. Bauld, has just published her black comedy novel The Lodgers on Amazon as an eBook and paperback. I know mentioning this here is a bit cheeky, but with two murders, an unexpected pregnancy, a bizarre French holiday and a plethora of Putney lodgers, what happens to this odd but strangely endearing family takes you by surprise. And no, the characters in the book are nothing like my family or our real lodgers. I promise. There’s an advert for the book on the main page.
Cheers,
Nick
