Chopstix Putney High Street
Hello Everyone You may or may not know but a planning application for Putney High Street attracted a lot of attention earlier on this year. Residents want to see more retail units attracted to Putney and not, yet another takeaway restaurant. The planning application attracted nearly 100 objections and as a result was refused at the planning applications committee meeting on the 18th July this year. This morning Chopstix opened there doors to trade despite not having planning permission. It has made a complete mockery of the members of the planning committee and the planning process in Wandsworth.The local Thamesfield councillors have been working tirelessly to try and get the councils enforcement department to take action, but they seem very reluctant to do so. The fact that all the equipment is even there is a breach let alone the fact that it has now been turned on and is pumping out hot air an cooking pollutants all across the residential areas and outside terraces of the high street.If you are as stunned by this as I am then please feel free to make objections known on the planning enforcement portal of the councils website and to your local councillors.
