Looks like Putney Wilko will only trade till the end of the month, as they don't seem to have a buyer for the stores.

Just market forces going through it's natural process? Isn't that how capitalism works? They weren't getting the sales needed to make a profit, presumably as they couldn't attract sufficient customers, so they go bust?

That's certainly possible but there are buyers sniffing around. The worry I have is that the London stores may be the least profitable due to higher rent and rates and therefore will be the first ones to go.However, judging by the number of people in there this week, this may be off set by higher footfall.
