Ten Storey Hotel Scheme on High Street

What's the betting that when the hotel fails an application is made to convert the premises into a number of luxury flats thus avoiding providing affordable housing - always assuming of course that the hotel gets built? I wonder, does the developer pay any money to any political party I ask myself.

The developer would have to show that they had tried and failed to run the building as a hotel and maybe leave it fallow for several years before they could even think about getting a change of use.As for your insinuation about dodgy dealing, both Labour and Conservative councillors have opposed this scheme but ulitmately any decision has to be based on planning law. Rather than cast aspersions, tell us the legal reasons why you think this plan should be blocked.
