This bronze dagger was found deliberately buried under the floor of the 'Fetish Shrine' as a foundation deposit. The ivory handle is fixed on with bronze pins covered in gold
leaf. On its blade, on either side, is a seated griffin with outstretched wings made of gold and silver. The griffin also appears in the Throne Room of the Palace of Minos showing that it was associated with those in power.
