No, I realise that and it was amusing at one level. However, I have friends that have been on the receiving end of at best unkind and unwanted comments and attention, or worse, threats of or actual violence … so there is also a very serious side. I see predictive text thought "intestinal" was more appropriate than "interesting" in my post; I guess there might be a bit of that in some myths!I'm not sure about age - I don't know if it's fashionable or whether it's that youngsters feel less constrained now about being themselves and experimenting? I'd be wary of someone doing something irreversible unless they were absolutely certain but that's a personal thing - I'd take the same view about tattoos, piercings, botox, etc that don't necessarily have anything to do with gender. Still, I remember people being aghast about young men having long hair in the '60s (that's easily reversed, even if one doesn't want too as one gets older) and some of the clothes worn - didn't Jagger wear a dress at the Hyde Park Concert held after Brian Jones died; although I don't think there was ever much doubt about his gender and preferences :-) Anyway, as CSN&Y once sang "teach your parents well" …
