Can the Royal Mail at Burston Road let us know why we are not getting regular deliveries of our post. A postie tells me there are so few staff there that deliveries are cut out. Ours was missing for at least 3 days last week.

I wonder if the Putney site is prime for closure and redevelopment.A quick google and all the jobs require driving - with the Putney location specifying over-time available on Sunday, working at Wimbledon.Just my speculation - hopefully wrong.

In last 10 days Chartfield Avenue has had two post deliveries. My Economist, due on Fridays, is tending to arrive Tuesdays. This is not a "service".

Also our postman retired. He was always on time 9.30 delivery he deserved a medal. But I suppose also a lot have been there years and are reaching retirement.

Ronald, the most annoying thing in all this is, why are we paying more for 1st class and 2nd class stamps when obviously we are not receiving our post on time. More cut backs on staff, but prices going up for us.
You have answered your own question: severe staff shortage

I was a Putney Postman back in the 60s, poor pay drove me off to Australia in 1966 - THINK ABOUT IT!!!
