TFL ULEZ car and motorcycle scrappage scheme now updated

The child benefit conditions have been added (today) that will enable a £2000 scrappage grant to be paid.It says they aim to process the first stage (Stage 1) applications in 10 working days although I did not see any stats on what the actual figures are.Once stage 1 is  processed it is not clear how long it takes to get a vehicle scrapped at one of the approved  place or how long the grant payment will take.Slight difference in terms and conditions compared to the headline briefing:“The Vehicle must have been owned for at least twelve (12) months prior to the commencement of the Scheme.”as opposed to:“vehicle needs to have been registered with the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) to you (or someone who lives at your address) since 30 January 2022 or earlier”Anyway may help someone, even if it is very late,  not sure about finding a good ULEZ compliment car for £2000.

Thank you Alan,I'm not sure what capacity the scrappage company have i.e what is their lead time for collection.It looks like it would be very unlikely to get the process completed before the end of the month. It's also very difficult to get a vehicle without having the use of one.

In the Ts and Cs I think I read that the vehicle must be scrapped within one month of the approval.  It is up to the owner to arrange the scrapping with approved scrapyards.
