Ukraine fundraising - I am driving an ambulance to Lviv

With thanks to our MP Fleur Anderson the full story is now on the front page of SW15.  As you can see, it is very much a group enterprise and has raised over £100,000 in total, all in the form of ambulances and medical aid and all delivered to Ukraine.

Thanks again to all those who are continuing to donate in support of this immensely worthwhile project – your contributions to the fundraising now exceed £11,000 and donations are still coming in. It has been an amazing and uplifting experience and I am so glad the four ambulances we delivered to the Ministry of Health in Lviv will be put to immediate use in rescuing civilian victims of the indiscriminate bombing that is taking such a toll.  They will soon be saving lives every day all across Ukraine, just like the 29 delivered before. Lviv is in many ways a normal central European city and a joy to visit.  But the sudden cacophony of the air raid sirens brings you up short – the city is also a war zone. Thank you all for your good wishes and donations. I have now raised £10,000 for Medical Life Lines Ukraine. I’m writing this in Lviv where we’ve just had an air raid warning. The locals stayed remarkably cool so I had no choice but to stay cool too. All clear after 10 minutes but a reminder why we need to continue to support Ukraine in every way we can.

The four ambulances will depart early (very early!) Sunday morning.  Fundraising continues and will continue for as long as yet more ambulances are needed in Ukraine.Meanwhile, many thanks once again to everyone who has already chipped in.

I found it very difficult on an iphone to highlight the whole of that very long link in order to then open it.  However much easier on the much bigger screen of a laptop to revert to the traditional highlight copy and paste!

I think the problem may lie in your trying to click the link in Jonathan's original post directly from it: instead, copy the link then paste it into a fresh tab; that generally works OK.

Gill, I received a Thank You email from GoFundMe for my donation to “Essential Life Saving Equipment for Ukraine” “Fundraiser by Daniel Whitehead”. If you search for that Fundraiser on GoFundMe using the words above, it should get you to the correct one.  I tried and it worked. re: using the link, I am hopeless with tech.  My son did this for me.  It didn’t work on the old PutneySW15 website and only worked on new.putneysw15.com. Hope this helps.
