Chatfield House
The remnants of a much-modified Chatfield House (the original built c.1700) were demolished in 2013, to make way for H&M, on the right of the entrance to Putney Exchange. I’m trying to find out which were the last businesses on the site in the last 50 years or so before 2013. They included Peter Robinson and Millets on the left, and Burtons and Thomas Cook on the right. I’d be grateful if someone could confirm this, with dates if possible, and whether Millets and Thomas Cook were the last two, right up until 2013. Photographs, and information on the history of Chatfield House, would also be appreciated (email philipevison0@gmail.com).
