Rishi Sunak

Rishi promised a government with integrity - now is the time for him to step up to the plate and recall the Johnsons honours list and refer it back to the HOL panel for reconsideration - my guess though is that he will adopt a gut-less approach and do nothing thus cementing the nasty parties reputation for all to see.

Let's not beat about the bush: The UK honours system is itself dishonourable. Take a look across the Channel: the French have a tiered honours system. It is clearcut  - and means something.

Indeed: Sunak promised “integrity, professionalism and accountability at every level” when he entered No.10, but there's no sign of that when he was not only too chicken to attend the debate on the report on Johnson's behaviour but he won't even say whether he agrees with the Committee's conclusions. Not a shred of integrity etc there!
