Wow that rain was heavy.

Hi Ivonne, I was at home yesterday, it was torrential. But Sunday we were up at the boat club checking on the boat, there was thunder and heavy rain. People further up river must have hired the small open boats and took food etc. with them. They were all passing us absolutely soaked. There wasn't much they could do but sit it out, but the men had an eye full as a young lady in a bikini went past on her paddle board.

Yes, Barbara, we did get an incredible downpour here yesterday afternoon, at about 3:30pm - I think!I came down yesterday and thought "The builders cannot be working a the back - what is that noise???"  Looked out of the dining room window and the rain was almost torrential!!!!

I guess the best place to be when sailing or rowing is in the club bar? :-)

We were at the boat club, under cover, watching the boats go by.  But some were absolutely soaked in some of the open small boats they had hired.

in a way, yes, Barbara. I'm told there was some rain in Putney by a friend staying in our house but all I can attest to myself is that there was a thunderstorm around 6pm in the centre of Oxford but fortunately it had finished when we went out to meet a relative in a restaurant for dinner at 7pm :-)
