Mugging of a 12 yr old boy in Barnes yesterday. Looked like the man ran off with his bag.

20 years ago children were being encouraged not to wear designer trainers etc and show off their mobile phones when out and about - which is what a lot of owning this stuff is about for them. Recently there was a problem with commuters being targeted around train stations because when they came out of the station they would take out their mobile phones to call for a taxi (and watch online to see how far away it is).

Muggings have always happened. We hear about it more now because of all the media.
John, that's right you never see one these days, even in the High Street. It's frightening children can't walk home on their own without being attacked.

Bobbies should be on the beat routinely not simply after an incident to "reassure the public".

Police are patrolling Barnes and Mortlake, Second Ave, also by the pond. Merthyr Terrace. Parents have been told to make sure their children are not wearing designer clothes etc. The gang are coming from Hammersmith.
The young lad was pushed to the floor. This country is getting disgusting.
