Attendance Allowance is also under claimed and is a useful help which we used to use for taxis and train fares to hospital appointments for FIL. It is so important to keep up with these appointments. Sitting around waiting for an appointment for hearing and sight can be a pain but both are so important including for memory. It didn't need to be used for care at home (which is what it sounds like) and wasn't means tested.We found Age UK was a very useful help and could check and explain eligibility for various benefits and how to get them.

Point them towards help? Many will have been managing or just sbout managing until all of these sudden price rises.
