Bus Route 419  - TfL Consultation

https://tfl.gov.uk/bus/route/419/Proposals to convert a hail and ride section of bus route 419 to fixed stops. I think with TfL and buses problems are often that people are unaware of changes and wait at stops where buses are no longer stopping etc.When we used it a lot and every day it was good to get their updates sent to us when there were changes.There are other consultations but it just depends on whether they concern areas that you travel to.  There is one for part of the new superloop in North London.https://haveyoursay.tfl.gov.uk/

Barbara I thought you were in Putney.You can use the website (which has been updated including  showing more options and accessible routes) www.tfl.gov.uk or the app to find routes from Barnes to Olympia.Barnes is in LB Richmond and their (and Hounslow's) GLA Member is Nick Rogers who is on the Transport Committee.  I'm sure those in Barnes will be getting together and contacting their Councillors and MP and their GLA Member to have their voices heard if there is a big call for a particular bus route.  If not - they should be.I had a quick look and buses from Barnes travel to Hammersmith via Chiswick Bridge.  However there do appear to be some roadworks on the route atm.BTW Leonie Cooper is the Wandsworth & Merton GLA member.

People need to get from Barnes over Hammersmith bridge to Olympia. Not Putney.

Well it came up with quite a lot of options to get from Putney Station to Olympia.  You will have to choose more precisely solutions for exactly where you want to go.  If you haven't been to Olympia recently you may not recognise it. There has been a lot of building going on.  The Beaconsfield is still there but is a different scale to a lot of the other buildings now!TfL have a useful app if you have a smartphone:https://tfl.gov.uk/maps_/tfl-go

Try it for yourself:https://tfl.gov.uk/plan-a-journey/You can choose different sorts of transport;  more or less walking etc.  Just make sure you put the right sort of transport in the search - or you could find that the estimated amount of time for the journey is several days.  :Nowadays many people - particularly those who cycle or jog - have a shower and change once they get to work.
