If the bikes were locked within the boot of a car the official advice would be not to leave it there. No doubt those that excuse crime would also say it was his own fault for leaving the goods in the car.Of course they would still have had to smash the window of the car to retrieve the bike. An justifiable act according to XR+ organisations. Smash a window and get what you want - goods, publicity whatever the reason. In this case bikes were not securely locked in cars but being ridden. If we normalise the breaking of windows to obtain what people want, is it any wonder that they would take goods being used?Do not normalise crime be it XR+ or thieves it is a slippery slope! And stop this victim blaming type of policing.Shit can happen to anyone - it's just a cope mechanism to pretend it can not happen to you!

Yes should have received a longer sentence.

Apparantly he will only serve six months. An absolute joke - he should be locked up for six years.

From the Standard:-"admitted two counts of a robbery, an attempted robbery, and possession of criminal property, and was sentenced on Tuesday to 12 months in youth custody."So not charged with "Armed robbery"?
