Overground rail improvements

It looks like west London could get extended overground rail services with a new orbit railway. Unfortunately probably not until the next decade. Yes, I think the original link indicated it was a line used for freight only services at present.  I believe a number of improvements to London's rail services have been achieved by opening up freight routes and reconnecting some disused routes for passenger services. It's not uncommon to see goods trains passing through Overground stations.

Yes, obviously, the 15 minute city has a lot going for it but the immediate need is to transfer people onto public transport given the irrational resistance to 15 minute cities? Yes, obviously other cities and also rural areas should be dealt with equally to London. Perhaps reduce the subsidies on airline fuel?

Michael,TFL already get more than the regions.Continuing to expand London and subsidising people travelling in from far away is not green and never was.
