road works on Barnes Common

Is anyone else affected by this? These road works are affecting the junction between Lower Richmond Road and Rocks Lane and causing bus diversions. I think someone said they are caused by gas works and likely to last 12 months. It is an inconvenience if you plan to meet someone in Barnes or thereabouts at a specific time!

Sorry you are correct, for some reason I always think of the junction with the Red Lion as being close to the centre when of course it's not.Either way tho once they past that junction I don't suppose it will be much disruption?

Matt they're nowhere near the centre of Barnes nor if they're heading for the bridge are they likely to be. It does slow down the buses and takes them on odd routes. There doesn't seem to be much information at the bus stops either. We waited at the Pond stop for a bus to take us down to the bridge and eventually took the 485. The driver was telling other people waiting to go to other stops for the other routes but no notices up.Just thought people might want to know.

They won't be in the same place for 12 months, will be progressively moving in the direction of Hammersmith bridge, I so guess once they get passed Barnes town centre they wont have as much as an effect.
