Tesco food Shopping

Really find it hard and stupid that Tesco have 2 prices on every item. They make out the Club Card price is cheaper. Yes it is in their shop, but if you go in Sainsbury's their prices are the lower price anyway. I told the young lady serving in Dover House Rd shop and her answer was I don't put the prices on the item's, I'm not the manager. Yes that's true, but I think it is really confusing. Why not do the Necter card system where you get points.

As I understand it, the issue that the papers are reporting on today isn't that Tesco have Clubcard and non-Clubcard prices. The issue, raised by consumer group Which, is that the yellow Clubcard prices don't include unit pricing i.e. the small print on shelf prices which gives a price per 100g on things like jam - or per sheet for toilet rolls.presumably then Tesco could just add unit pricing on to the yellow Clubcard prices if they want to make Which happy and we'd all still be left with the weird two tier pricing!

Philippa it was not use nectar in Tesco, it was why don't they have an easier system.

You can collect nectar points with BGas Esso Argos and many more Ebay. The message was Tesco prices are unclear and a waste of time trying to find out what price you are paying.

Wish I never put on here about Tesco , now would you believe it. Sainsbury's is doing the same thing your OK if you have a Nectar, which I do have but now they have put their prices up as well.

Don't see how they can have a low price and say no you have to pay the high price.  I have used my other half's Tesco card, but still think the idea is stupid, especially for somebody really old or blind.

Actually Sainsbury have offers that get deducted automatically called My Necter Prices - if you use the smart shop app that is.Unlike the Tesco's scheme these offers are personalised.This is in addition to the points.

I do wonder about this two prices policy. Especially when it is quite a difference in price, it raises my hackles. I do wonder if in some cases it may have a negative effect on sales."Why not do the Necter card system where you get points."Or why not just go for the cheapest price that the chain can afford to charge, across the board? I really just want to buy stuff, not have to do mental arithmetic. Or be "loyal".
