TfL bus network being expanded

The new promo video seems to show an electric bus.Surely these would be more suited to Inner London?Of course it is all just a proposal with no firm dates or commitment to what buses will be used etc.

I'm not finding that page, I will take a look later.The main issue is given the actual numbers there is little time to analyse what transport people need.The superloo service is also designed to have few stops so people will still have to travel to the local or not so local transport hub.I think a smarter service would be better where passengers pre-book the pickup at local stops on the route in addition to the few planned stops. I think national express already do this.

It is an announcement of intention."The Superloop is a proposed network of limited-stop express bus routes"No timescales in the detail but it does mention consultation. I'm not sure what that means??Two thoughts:1) It doesn't come into operation (if ever) until after the expansion.2) It will still be quicker and greener going by rail for some of the connections with the loop possibly taking at least 50% longer when I checked Croydon to Kingston for example.This continues the idea of subsidising dirty, long bus journeys that compete with greener rail alternatives but are priced cheaper. A continuation of our class based transport system!We need more bus connections but the passenger should pay the same irrespective of the mode.
