Years of moaning to come?

Having tied up an hour of national tv so that 70,000 voters could get the result ofAn internal vote  by a group of seperatists.Seems it was 52% to 48% so presumably there will be calls for another vote in a years time so that those that die in that time can be discounted and those that come of age can vote etc etc etc.Presumably the former leader will call for a scottish election immediately ( as she did when May, Truss and Johnson left office).

I'm fully aware of the significance of 52/48 hence my suggestion that some may call for a re run as they did in 2016 for that , say it softly, brexit vote.

The tories can also be voted out at the next GE.SNP are angling for a second referendum despite claiming the last one was once in a generation. Not sure what difference you're looking for.

Oh, by the way, at the next GE (perhaps in 2005), the SNP can be voted out.I understand that a referendum is once in a generation, regardless whether the build-uo to is is honest or not.  Notice any difference?

The SNP can vote on a new leader for itself as often as it wants to, for exaple, if it feels that the result of this particular vote is compromised or not clear enough.The UK on the other hand is entirely stuck with the consequences of its recent 52/48 vote; it cannot be reversed - it could not obtain the unique position it had in the EU prior to 2015 even if it wanted to. The UK's trading position is irreversibly trashed and as a nation we are a lot poorer as a result.I fully intend to carry on moaning about this for years.

I thought the same happened in the whole of the UK!!!How many people chose Johnson initially?Was Rishi Sunak not elected by MPs only?

Thanks Ed So a country of 5.5 millions has its leader elected by about 30,000 people.God if that happened anywhere else there would be outrage.
