WBC pro ULEZ expansion but no parking spaces for dockless bikes
Where are WBC parking spaces for dockless bikes?Richmond has them, why not Wandsworth?I get that they are a nuisance if not parked correctly, blocking pavements etc. So quite right that they should be removed if causing an obstruction. It would of course be better if the TFL scheme had dockless bikes just like the publicly funded ones in California. The Mayor should have checked them out, much more relevant than cannabis farms. Why doesn't the TFL scheme include dockless bikes BTW?In the absence of a public sector the private sector is providing a service. There is clearly a demand and would this demand not increase post ULEZ expansion? Is it not a means of transport that should be encouraged? Is there some sort of cycling snobbery or are the riders not the right voter demographic? What could explain the current situation? With the high theft rates within WBC and the ULEZ expansion soon, surely dockless bikes are here to stay?
