Philippa, I think you've rather missed the irony; in any case, what was "fascinating" was not the plight of medical and nursing staff but the hypocritical way the government was behaving.

I'm not sure that fascinating is quite the word I'd use having seen some of these doctors and nurses working so hard without the PPE they should have had during the pandemic.There are others who are now suffering Long Covid and are unable to work.  It seems that those who were working closely with so many sick patients before they could actually tell who was and who wasn't positive and were most heavily exposed to it were very likely to succumb.

It's fascinating to hear that "we" can afford to pay grifters like Mone and other Tory cronies millions on millions of £££s for dodgy or useless services, PPE etc, yet "we" apparently can't afford to pay decent wages to nurses, doctors and other public servants. The rank hypocrisy is disgusting.

47 companies received orders for PPE through the VIP lanes.And there was also the way that the Test & Trace contracts were handed out.

Absolute disgrace of an individual. Her husband too; he is going on trial in Spain for fraud in a couple of months. They had/have more money than they or their children/grandchildren would ever need without have to help themselves to multi-millions from the taxpayers purse. Greed and corruption define these two.tl;dr I'm not a fan!Love what they did to her yacht - it looks so professional, like it's a genuine name for it
