A219 - Putney High Street

Today’s Mail Online: ”U.K. capital’s roads are the most congested in the world — with the A219 southbound from Fulham Rd named the worst stretch.” Am I correct in thinking PHS is part of the A219?

The a219 starts in harrow and stretches all the way to morden. Its route from Putney high street is the hill, parkside  wimbledon centre through to south wimbkledon station then on tp morden where it joins the 217.

No, I didn’t know either and I didn’t know PHS was on the A219.

Well, I did not know the A219 reached Morden Hall Park!  It is a very long distance between Fulham High Street and Morden Hall Road!!!

It’s the road by the National Trust Property, Morden Hall, in Morden.  When I saw this I wondered whether the A219 Morden Hall Rd could be same A219 as PHS, but it seems to be.

Thanks, Michael, I wasn’t sure. Looking at the article again, I realised the section of road they show in a photograph was Fulham High Street.  There is also a map showing the worst section of the A219 indicated in red and Putney High Street is part of it.  The most congested section is the Southbound A219 between Fulham Rd and Morden Hall Rd.
