It's pretty pointless making ones that are too big and difficult but little by little I'm working my way through the contents of the freezer so that I can replace it. We no longer eat as much meat so it is taking longer. One of the most satisfying things to do is to repair something. During the pandemic so many things seemed to stop working. I've ordered some replacement blinds for a couple of torn ones. Let's see if we can get them all up before next Christmas. ... no pressure - that will be a record! Every time a chore is completed it feels good and gives me more enthusiasm in tackling another chore.Masses of gym memberships are taken out and dropped soon afterwards. A walk in the park is more inspirational and stress free. There were some lovely catkins yesterday and on New Year's Day some great ild man's beard with the sun shining through it.

I agree Judy. The first two weeks in gyms are far too busy.

I'd book in there. (Might skip the first two weeks though.)

"Resolutions" sounds a great business idea; someone's got a winner there! :-)

Philippa, for us February is always the new January. Why make oneself even more miserable after Christmas by penancing so soon afterwards? I ease myself into resolutions in February. Gives me a chance to finish the cake and mince pies at leisure and decide what exercise I won't be doing for the rest of the year ;-)I saw a great post that said: I'm opening a gym called "Resolutions". It will have exercise equipment for the first two weeks and then it turns into a wine bar for the rest of the year.
